GECAS and VietJet sign sale-leaseback terms for two Airbus aircraft

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and VietJet have inked an aircraft sale-leaseback agreement for two Airbus A320 aircraft.           Both of these aircraft are part of the order that VietJet made with Airbus in February of this year for 100 Airbus aircraft to be delivered from 2014 to 2018. This purchase agreement has made great progress with BNP Paribas (France) acting as a financial adviser to VietJet.          GECAS is the world’s leading commercial aircraft and engine lessor and lender, supplying more than 1,600 aircraft to over 230 airlines all over the world.           With this agreement in place, Airbus will deliver the next two Airbus A320 aircraft to VietJet in November and December later this year, enabling the new-age carrier to advance its expansion plan accordingly.Currently one of the fastest growing airlines in Asia, VietJet recently added two more direct international routes connecting Danang and Hanoi to Incheon International airport (Seoul) in South Korea. The airline also operates an extensive domestic network as well as direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok and Singapore.
