Jetstar Pacific announces Bangkok to Hanoi services


          Jetstar Pacific, the Vietnam-based member of the Jetstar Group, has announced it will commence daily services between Bangkok and Hanoi from 29 March 2015.
          This is the second direct flight connecting Vietnam and Thailand. Jetstar Pacific had recently announced the operational launch of the Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok route on 10 December 2014.
          Thailand and Vietnam are major tourism markets and Jetstar Pacific’s entry into international markets allows more opportunities for passengers to discover more of Thailand and Vietnam, said Jetstar Pacific Chief Executive Officer Le Hong Ha.
          “For the first time, Jetstar customers from Bangkok will be able to enjoy our low fares and direct flights to the Vietnam capital of Hanoi,” said Mr Ha.
          “Thai travellers to Hanoi will also have access to the Jetstar Pacific network connecting passengers to Hanoi with four other domestic destinations - Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh, Da Nang and Nha Trang,” he said.
          The new Hanoi to Bangkok services will be operated by Jetstar Pacific’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft seat configured for 180 passengers. The carrier recently transitioned to an all A320 fleet and will grow to 10 aircraft over the next few months.
          To celebrate the announcement, Jetstar Pacific will offer a special “Pay to go and return for free sale’* from Bangkok to Hanoi from 1.00pm (local time) on 20 November 2014 to 8.00 am on 24 November 2014, unless sold out.           Lead in fares from Bangkok to Hanoi start from THB2,149.
          Jetstar Pacific currently operates almost 380 services a week to ten domestic destinations within Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Buon Ma Thuot, Nha Trang, Hue and Phu Quoc and two international service between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore and between Da Nang and Macau.
          The new service will boost Jetstar Group services to Thailand to 90 return flights a week, with Bangkok now accessible with the Jetstar Group via Ho Chi Minh City, Melbourne (Australia), Fukuoka (Japan) and Singapore.
          Jetstar Airways currently operates long haul services between Bangkok and Melbourne and Phuket and both Melbourne and Sydney. Jetstar Asia operates services to both Bangkok and Phuket also from Singapore, with the Bangkok service continuing on to Fukuoka in Japan.
