Skyscanner launches Charming Land of Smiles competition to inspire local tourism


          Leading global travel search engine, Skyscanner, has launched a new integrated online campaign aimed at promoting domestic tourism across the Kingdom. The “Charming Land of Smiles” campaign features a series of articles written by Thailand’s leading travel bloggers and invites fellow travel enthusiasts to vote for their favourite destinations across the country.           “From white sandy beaches to misty covered mountains, Thailand has so much to offer to Thai people as well as international visitors who are looking for somewhere new to discover and enjoy - even famous retreats like Krabi or Samui still have a lot of places just waiting to be uncovered and shared with other travellers,” said Ms. Grace Pobpabha Areerat, Marketing Manager -Thailand, Skyscanner.           “With this new online campaign we want everyone to share their experiences and help encourage each other explore the country we are so proud of and bring back smiles to the faces of people who love to travel and inspire them to explore Thailand again,” Ms. Grace added.           Two authors of guest blog posts - Rinsa YoyoLive and Mr. Thitipong Kingkaeo from 9Mot - were Skyscanner’s 2014 Bloscars Awards winner and runner-up respectively. Each article features fascinating attractions to inspire travellers to explore both famous attractions and hidden gems in the most popular destinations in Thailand - Bangkok, Krabi, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and Phuket.           Fellow travellers are invited to visit the Skyscanner website at www.charminglandofsmile.com and vote for their favourite destination across five categories: most fascinating natural attraction, most fascinating historical attraction, most fascinating cultural attraction, most fascinating recreational attraction and most fascinating province.          “The winning results will also be published across our sites in APAC, Europe and America, which we hope will continue to promote Thailand’s most fascinating and charming destinations as voted by People who vote will go into the draw for the chance to win luxurious travel packages including a return trip for two people to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways and a two-night stay at Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa; or a two night weekend stay for two persons at JW Marriott Hotel, Bangkok or? JW Marriott, Khao Lak Resort & Spa.          In addition, people who share the campaign on Facebook with the hash tags #เสน่ห์เมืองยิ้ม and #SkyscannerThailand will also stand a chance to win 2 return air tickets from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.
