Ultimate Frozen Party thrills Thai guests at Hong Kong Disneyland

Specially designed to bring winter fun to Thai guests, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort has launched its first-ever Ultimate Frozen Party, running from December 1-3. A privileged group of 100, joined by Party Gurus Chompoo Araya (Chompoo) and Cris Horwang (Cris), were flown all the way from Thailand to enjoy the resort’s snow-filled nights and Christmas Tree Painting as part of the “Disney Sparkling Christmas” celebration. This trip has been made even more spectacular with more than 100 attractions and entertainment offerings around the park.
The 100 lucky guests won an exclusive opportunity to join the Ultimate Frozen Party by submitting a photo of a special winter look – with a Disney twist – on Instagram at the end of October. The resort then packed the party for the winners andfriends with two days of cool experiences, kicking off on the first night with the Christmas Tree Painting and “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks.
“We’ve received good feedback from both trade partners and guests since our first media and trade event in Bangkok in late October. Within a few weeks, we received more than 3,500 submissions for our Instagram-based competition for the Ultimate Frozen Party in Hong Kong Disneyland,” said Andrew Kam, Managing Director, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. “The encouraging response reflects Thailand’s rise as an important market in Southeast Asia with strong potential. We are delighted to welcome the Thai guests who flew in specially to enjoy winter fun at Hong Kong Disneyland, and we are sure they will have many great stories of their winter adventure to share with others when they return home,”
A team of more than 220 Cast Members spent over 5000 hours putting together this one-of-a-kind Ultimate Frozen Party. Every special party feature, from the itinerary to the venue décor, food and beverage and music, has been tailored to delight the guests from Thailand. Hong Kong Disneyland wishes to give the winners, and many more Thai guests, a unique and memorable winter experience at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Disney Sparkling Christmas
Making the visit extra special, the Thai guests were greeted by Frozen’s Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, two beloved characters from the animated blockbuster, who arrived at Hong Kong Disneyland in perfect time to celebrate “Disney Sparkling Christmas.” Guests were further thrilled by the cool festive ambiance on Main Street, U.S.A., which is draped with festive décor and a dusting of light snowfall every evening from now till January 4, 2015.
The group was further immersed in the “Frozen” world, partaking in special themed Frozen food and beverage items and merchandise.
In another first for this group, they met ShellieMay, a good friend of Duffy the Disney Bear, who made her debut to celebrate the holiday season. ShellieMay-themed merchandise items and newly launched ShellieMay Tsum Tsum plush toys are available to bring home the Christmas joy.

The all-new ‘Disney Paint the Night’ parade
Guests visiting Hong Kong Disneyland at nighttime will see the Park in a whole new light. The brand-new “Disney Paint the Night” is a never-before-seen light show transported guests into an unimagined world of luminous and interactive fun.
Combining the latest LED lighting technology, colorful costumes, magical storytelling, delightful music and dynamic dances, “Disney Paint the Night” features seven original floats, featuring Tinker Bell, Monsters, Inc., Cars, The Little Mermaid, Belle, Toy Story, and the Mickey & Friends. Lit by more than 740,000 LED lights, the floats bring classic Disney and Disney•Pixar stories to life with an interactive touch while illuminating the entire parade route every night.
During the parade’s two show stop moments, the guests are able to paint the night using a specially created merchandise item – the Made with Magic Paint Brush – to change the colors of performers’ costumes at the touch of a button. Other magic-enabled merchandise items, the Mickey Glow Mitt and Minnie Glow Bow, also interact with the floats, giving guests a chance to really become a part of the parade.

100 Choices of Fun for the Thai guests
Day two of the Ultimate Frozen Party began with a group photo of the 100 Thai guests in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle with Chompoo and Cris and beloved Disney Friends like Mickey, Minnie, Duffy and ShellieMay alldressed up in their festive outfits. Thrilled to join the party, Cris said: “We are so excited to join this party. It’s great chance to EAT, SHOP, SNAP and PLAY to our heart’s content at Hong Kong Disneyland.”
The guests spent the rest of the day enjoying their favorite rides in the recently launched themed areas – namely Asia’s first Toy Story Land, the world-exclusive Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point. Completed last year, the expanded footprint brings the park’s total number of attractions and entertainment offerings to more than 100, with Runaway Mine Cars in Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Manor in Mystic Point and RC Racer in Toy Story Land as Thai guests’ top five favorite attractions.
A gala evening was organized for the second night, with a Frozen-themed party at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. To the guests’ delight, Queen Elsa and Princes Anna made another special appearance. “Queen Elsa and Princess Anna are my favorite characters, and it’s a dream come true for me to meet them at Hong Kong Disneyland,” Chompoo said. Frozen fever reached a high point as guests sang “Let It Go” together and Chompoo and Cris invited everyone to join in a dance. “It’s the best winter party I’ve ever had been to. I’m so happy to see everyone enjoying it with us. The Frozen-themed food, the music, the photo opportunities, all of these make the ‘Ultimate Frozen Party’ perfect,” Chompoo added.
