Thai students can now take advantage of a special baggage allowance on Qantas flights to Australian and New Zealand. Students holding an Australian or New Zealand Student Visa who purchase a return Economy fare with Qantas to Australia or New Zealand for travel between now and 31 December 2014 will be eligible for an additional 10kg checked baggage, above the current 30kg baggage allowance, with no restriction on the number of pieces. Customers will also be able to enjoy Qantas inflight food and beverages and hundreds of on-demand entertainment options. Regional General Manager Asia, Ian Gay, said Qantas was pleased to offer Thai students an even more generous checked baggage allowance. “By allowing students the opportunity to pack more for their trip at no additional cost, we’re hoping to make their journey to study in Australia or New Zealand as easy as possible,” said Mr Gay. Qantas operates daily return services between Sydney and Bangkok, operated by A330 aircraft. Qantas International Economy fares are available from THB32,040 return to Australia and from THB35,460 return to New Zealand for outbound travel from Thailand until 31 December 2014, including airport taxes, service fees and other surcharges.
